IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
PAY SCALE: $21 - $25/hr
REPORTS TO: IT Manager
SCHEDULE: 40hr/Week, Full Time/Hourly

primary responsibility is to support our professional staff in serving our community. The IT Support Specialist
will assist with computer and desktop phone setup, device installa�on, troubleshoo�ng, Microso� 365
(par�cularly, Outlook, Excel, and Word), Zoom, and Yardi cloud-based database and resident management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The IT Support Specialist is a non-exempt non-union full-�me posi�on under the IT Manager, in the
administra�ve staff under the Execu�ve Director. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for addressing low-level
IT issues such as:
- Serve as the “Front Line” for IT queries from staff;
- Provide computer system, phone system, and desk set-up, configura�on, and tear-down;
- Iden�fy and address hardware and so�ware issues; troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunc�ons,
- Respond to user requests for assistance on computer-related problems;
- Provide primary AV Support for all mee�ngs held both onsite and offsite, as applicable;
- Organize and monitor IT inventory;
- Maintain wide berth of knowledge on so�ware and hardware opera�ng system issues and solu�ons;
- Occasionally travel between mul�ple sites when necessary to provide IT support;
- Provide professional, polite, and respec�ul customer service at all �mes;
- Perform all du�es with high regard for integrity, honesty, and confiden�ality, and demonstrate respect
- Assist in the maintenance of the PCHA Website;
- When trained, serve as backup for IT Manager when IT Manager is unavailable for On-Call work;
- Other du�es as required or assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The IT Support Specialist is an entry-level IT posi�on. Suggested qualifica�ons include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- AA Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience;
- Strong skills in so�ware and hardware troubleshoo�ng and repair;
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance.
- Passion for learning and discovering solu�ons to complex problems in serving the people of our County;
- Ability to communicate technical informa�on effec�vely and courteously in oral and writen forms to
- Expert-level exper�se with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Opera�ng Systems;
- Experience working with an on-premises ac�ve directory environment that runs hybrid with Office365
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards;
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy prac�ces and laws;
- Knowledge of virtualiza�on;
- Familiarity with virus and spyware protec�on tools;
- Demonstrated ability to get along with others effec�vely; to lead and inspire, to par�cipate as a team
- Ability to analyze problems, iden�fy alterna�ve solu�ons, project consequences of proposed ac�ons and
